People of Color in the Workplace
Most People of Color Work in Diverse Environments
Nearly three-fourths (72 percent) of blacks and six in 10 (59 percent) Latinos work in places where workers are from mostly different races and ethnic groups, according to a 2004 poll by the Gallup Organization. Only 14 percent of employed blacks and 25 percent of employed Latinos say their workplaces are all or mostly the same race or ethnicity, while 13 percent of blacks and 11 percent of Latinos report that their workplaces are about half the same race or ethnicity.

Demand for Multi-Language Capabilities Will Increase
Approximately 85 percent of recruiters in Europe, 88 percent in Asia and 95 percent in Latin America either "strongly agreed" or "somewhat agreed" that being at least bilingual is critical to succeed in today's business environment, according to Korn/Ferry International.
