EEO/Diversity Officer for PNNL-Battelle: Care to change the world?
The integrated Human Resources team at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is currently seeking an EEO/Diversity Manager.
EEO Initiatives:
The successful candidate will use their innovation and experience to manage all aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity program for PNNL including:
- Develop and implement diversity programs and initiatives in coordination with organizational effectiveness, employee development, staffing, and university relations,
- Interpret federal, state, and DOE regulations as they apply to EEO/AA,
- Conduct internal and external EEO/AA investigations; and perform, monitor, and evaluate compliance activities,
- Create and maintain annual AA plans, evaluating compliance, goals and strategic plans, while effectively communicating needs and strategy to management on a quarterly basis,
- Initiate investigations and respond to external and internal complaints and requests for inquiries,
- Drive an integrated diversity and inclusion program,
- Lead and/or participate in community outreach activities designed to increase awareness.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years experience. Demonstrated skill and in-depth knowledge of EEO/AA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and other laws required. Ability to develop rapport with internal/external customers, including: DOE, staff, management, legal consultants, and compliance/regulatory agencies. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required, as well as strong investigation and conflict resolution skills. Candidates must possess the skills and/or ability to successfully provide innovative solutions to extremely complex, strategic issues.
Prior experience in program development, training, and relationship management are strongly desired, as is experience in a large, complex work environment. Training in conflict resolution/mediation is helpful. Past experience in ensuring HR practices and processes support the achievement of workforce diversity and compliance with the Company diversity philosophy and principles strongly desired.
